About The Position

The Director of Automation and Facility Engineering at Qurate Retail Group will oversee the Engineering organization for QVC and HSN, focusing on Systems/Automation Engineering, MHE Software Engineering, Fulfillment Center Design, and Facilities Center of Excellence. This role involves leading a team to design and implement technology and automation solutions for material handling systems, managing a significant CAPEX budget, and developing a strategic roadmap for operations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with ownership of P&L or customer-facing/revenue generating responsibilities.
• 5+ years of experience implementing automation projects in distribution or ecommerce fulfillment.
• Knowledge in current fulfillment MHE automation.
• Experience in Supply Chain Management Systems (WMS and WCS), Technology Product Management, Project Management, Transportation, Inbound Operations, Outbound Operations, Capital Projects or P&L.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering) or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering organization across QVC and HSN, including Systems/Automation Engineering and MHE Software Engineering.
• Manage a CAPEX budget ranging from $30M to $150M annually for Operations and Fulfillment.
• Design and implement technology and automation solutions for material handling systems.
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand needs and support the development of technology/automation solutions.
• Align with IT and Product Management teams to ensure project success.
• Lead a team of automation, software, and controls engineers, providing coaching and performance management.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to scope and prioritize new projects.
• Work with equipment vendors and suppliers to procure and integrate MHE equipment into automation systems.
