About The Position

The Director of Arts Technologies at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the operation of various media and arts technology facilities, including the Jonathan Logan Family Foundation Media Center, Logan Shops, Logan exhibitions programs, Logan classroom AV, Edelstone Darkroom, and the Media Arts Data and Design Center (MADD) Arts Labs. This position is designed to integrate technology into the arts curriculum and community engagement programs, ensuring that the Logan Center supports the artistic practice and scholarship of students, faculty, visiting artists, and community partners. The Director will work closely with a diverse team of full- and part-time professionals and students, reporting directly to the Executive Director of the Logan Center. In this role, the Director will lead the strategic implementation of technology across the Logan Center and its satellite spaces, developing policies and initiatives that enhance the use of technology in artistic practice, teaching, and scholarship. The Director will also be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating projects that align with the strategic objectives of the Logan Center, ensuring that technology facilities meet the needs of various academic programs, including Art History, Creative Writing, Cinema and Media Studies, and more. Additionally, the Director will manage exhibitions programs, engage with artists and curators, and oversee the hiring, training, and evaluation of staff within the media center and arts labs. The Director of Arts Technologies will also be involved in financial management, including approving operating budgets and supervising day-to-day financial processes. This role requires collaboration with the Executive Director and development team to secure external funding and grants. The Director will serve as a liaison to Information Technology Services, ensuring compliance with university IT policies and driving the adoption of best practices across the Logan Center staff. This position is integral to fostering a creative and collaborative environment that advances the Logan Center's mission and enhances the artistic experience for all stakeholders.
