About The Position

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Application Development Manager to join our Accounting & Admin Platform. This role is located in Boston, MA. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Lead and manage engineering teams responsible for Accounting systems understanding the core concepts of NAV for various fund types. Provide hands-on technical leadership, including architecture guidance, code reviews, and problem-solving. Collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and external partners to align engineering efforts with strategic objectives. Drive agile delivery processes, ensuring timely and high-quality releases. Mentor and develop engineering managers, leads, and engineers to build a high-performing team. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Quantitative Finance).
  • Strong hands-on software engineering background with expertise in backend systems, financial calculations, and transaction processing.
  • At least 5-10 years of relevant work experience in Quant Finance and Data Science with Fund Accounting focus.
  • Proven track record of applying machine- and deep-learning frameworks to practical business challenges in financial systems.
  • Thorough understanding of various statistical and machine learning algorithms.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial markets, products and concepts with a focus on fixed income products, money markets, and quantitative methods.
  • Fluency in Java, Springboot, microservices, Python, SQL, Git.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks like pytorch, tensorflow / keras, etc.
  • Team player, innovator, out of the box thinker.
