About the position

The Director of Analytics Enablement at the University of Phoenix is responsible for managing the collection and activation of analytics data across various projects. This role involves recommending enhancements for future execution to drive informed decision-making, architecting and maintaining tracking architecture, and providing technical solutions to fulfill measurement and reporting goals. The position requires collaboration with key business partners to build a data framework and lead high-impact analytics projects, ultimately supporting strategic initiatives and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the collection and activation of analytics data across various projects.
  • Architect, document, implement, and maintain tracking architecture and tagging conventions.
  • Provide technical solutions to fulfill measurement and reporting goals.
  • Serve as the resident expert on the collection of accurate data across various platforms.
  • Solve complex measurement and business challenges through creativity.
  • Collaborate with key business partners to build the data framework.
  • Lead high-impact data analytics projects to support strategic initiatives.
  • Define metrics that matter and assist in creating insightful dashboards.
  • Execute large and complex marketing analytics projects.
  • Author SQL to query, load, transform, and retrieve data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5 progressive years of business analysis experience.
  • 3 years of experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including data architecture and services.
  • Experience in data analysis through SQL, Python, and building AWS Airflow jobs and Glue.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and managing end-to-end data pipelines using AWS tools.
  • Experience in creating automated systems and managing machine learning models.
  • 1 year of experience in designing and maintaining structured data taxonomy and tag management systems.
  • Experience with UDMH star schema data modeling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAS and SPSS modeler for machine learning models.
  • Familiarity with data discovery and data ingestion processes.
