About The Position

Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have research, market predictions and best practices for a broad range of world-leading organizations. A Director possesses a keen eye for identifying gaps, problems and solutions within the market they serve. They use their knowledge to help clients make better decisions, solve complex issues and execute new practices that propel clients’ businesses toward key objectives. A Director publishes these insights as pragmatic and/or provocative research. Additionally, they reinforce Gartner’s value every day by engaging clients via in-person and virtual meetings, sales support visits, Gartner conferences and industry events.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant field or industry experience in strategic planning and implementation of talent management technology.
  • Knowledge of talent and leadership identification and development, employee listening, competency models, performance management, succession planning, feedback, skills, change management and people analytics.
  • Experience advising and working with CHROs and their peers.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
  • Demonstrate executive presence and establish credibility with C-level executives.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate superior analytical skills and excellence in research and writing.
  • Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements.
  • Learning agile and adept with navigating highly matrixed environments.
  • Ability to adjust communication style to different audiences.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Create high quality, clear, actionable, 'must-have research' content focused on talent management technology.
  • Implement AI solutions in talent management processes to create new research.
  • Develop new research and ideas through thought leadership for CHROs.
  • Provide high quality and timely peer review for research content.
  • Identify the root cause of CHRO’s barriers to change and drive strategy forward.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing research positions about talent management technology.
  • Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice aligned to talent management technology.
  • Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
  • Attend industry and professional association conferences as needed.
  • Predict market developments and assist clients in their selection process.
  • Build credibility as a talent management technology expert.
  • Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members.
