About The Position

As a key member of the leadership team, the Director provides administrative, clinical, and strategic leadership for a new, cancer focused joint venture ambulatory surgery center. This role offers a unique opportunity to design and implement clinical operations and care delivery models from the ground up—establishing goals, standards, and practices that drive high value, high quality care and exceptional patient experiences. The Director partners closely with physicians, consultants, collaborators, and leaders from Sutter Health and Stanford Medicine to advance strategic priorities, enhance performance, and address operational challenges, while leading strategic planning, resource allocation, policy development, and both operating and capital budgeting to meet organizational and financial objectives. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a day shift schedule and weekend requirements as needed. It is a regular employee status position with a salary range of $222,227.20 to $355,576.00 annually. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • RN-Registered Nurse of California
  • 6 years of recent relevant experience
  • Demonstrates clinical proficiency and knowledge to effectively plan and coordinate patient care consistent with applicable standards and regulations
  • Working knowledge and thorough understanding of state/federal/local and/or accreditation standards and requirements as they relate to operations and organization, with the ability to interpret and implement applicable standards and requirements
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and regulatory changes, and how they impact operations
  • Solid understanding of operations and workflows, and how the department’s process/workflow impacts other department operations
  • Understands business and operational requirements, demonstrating ability to design and establish goals to meet long and short- term objectives
  • Demonstrates credible leadership presence, with the ability to respond to questions with logic, clarity, calmness, and authority; and the ability to motivate and engage others
  • Ability to build and establish effective working partnerships with employees, peers, and leaders to achieve business objectives
  • Collaboration skills to facilitate open information sharing and cooperation with various stakeholders
  • Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction
  • Working knowledge of wage and hour laws
  • Demonstrates commitment to providing exceptional customer service and responding to customer needs/requests in a prompt, courteous manner
  • Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts and communicate information or issues in a manner that is readily understood by management and employees
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Understanding of the budgetary process and the healthcare financial environment
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in achieving goals through individuals without having direct control of those resources
  • Delegates effectively, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing business priorities
