About The Position

The eCommerce Amazon Director at Serta Simmons Bedding is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the company's Amazon sales strategy and managing a high-performing team. This position involves overseeing P&L management, sales negotiations, digital marketing, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve growth and success in the Amazon marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 10+ years in the Furniture/Bedding, Durables, or Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • 5+ years managing a P&L of $15M+
  • 5+ years of experience managing Amazon 1P business and digital marketing
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams
  • Prior experience in brand management, content creation, and performance marketing is highly desirable
  • Experience managing teams of 2+ associates
  • Strong understanding of retail eCommerce business fundamentals
  • Experience guiding decision-making in the retail media space
  • Familiarity with enterprise eCommerce software (e.g., Salsify, Syndigo, BazaarVoice)
  • Experience with Amazon Marketing Services (AMS) or similar platforms (Wayfair, Overstock, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Amazon's 3-year sales growth plan
  • Lead upper-to-lower funnel marketing, driving content creation, SEO, and conversion
  • Partner with the marketing and creative teams to align brand experience
  • Champion a test-and-learn mentality to drive performance and innovation
  • Be a thought leader with Brand teams to help cultivate an eCommerce optimized product assortment
  • Own and manage the Amazon USA P&L, including trade, gross margin, and marketing spend
  • Oversee the PO acceptance process
  • Build relationships with Amazon's buying team and optimize trade spend and promotional strategy
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Trade, Brand, Finance) to align on business goals and channel strategies
  • Lead and develop a team of two high-achieving professionals, ensuring a culture of engagement and continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with peers, senior leadership, and cross-functional partners
  • Foster a learning environment where the team is empowered to unlock business growth
  • Oversee forecasting process with cross-functional partners
  • Drive reporting and insights to inform decision-making and identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with supply chain and catalog teams to ensure efficient inventory management and delivery.
