About The Position

As a Director of Airline Consulting at Amadeus, you will manage the accounting relationship with strategic Airline partners in the NORAM region. Your role will involve growing and supporting relationships, managing commercial aspects, and cooperating with Sales and Customer Product & Solutions teams to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability. You will contribute to increasing Amadeus's market presence and revenues for long-term success by defining and implementing a business development and retention strategy, providing high-level service, and identifying and prioritizing business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and proven success in sales, business development, product marketing, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of related experience with Airline IT and Distribution or working with a vendor that directly serves large airline clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive and influential relationships.
  • Airline industry technology experience preferred.
  • Understanding of MS Office Suite of products, Salesforce, Seismic among other productivity-related products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic accounts by developing a solid and trustworthy relationship between the strategic Airline account(s) and Amadeus IT and Distribution Teams.
  • Resolve issues and complaints from strategic account(s).
  • Facilitate communication between strategic account(s) and internal Amadeus Teams.
  • Collaborate with Finance to assist in addressing billing and invoicing queries.
  • Manage all commercial matters related to accounts.
  • Execute and process operational requests received from Airline partners.
  • Ensure customers use Amadeus technology optimally and achieve established performance, productivity, and service metrics.
  • Communicate information about new products and solution releases to customers promptly.
  • Work with IT Sales / Customer Product & Solutions to retain and expand the IT portfolio.
  • Organize regular business reviews for follow-up purposes and deep-dive sessions on specific items.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Operations to get business cases approved for renewal and market development.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the current product portfolio and the benefits of specific products for each Airline partner.
  • Ensure external communication specific to strategic account(s) aligns with top management and agreed communication plans.
  • Provide input and feedback to the Customer Solution teams to prepare and adjust the communication plan.
