About The Position

Adonis is adding a new Director, AI to be our strategic technical leader who is driving the development, implementation, and governance of artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives across the organization. This role combines deep healthcare domain expertise with advanced AI/ML knowledge to ensure Adonis delivers cutting-edge, compliant, and valuable AI solutions to healthcare customers. Reporting to the Head of Data, this position sits at the intersection of data science, engineering, product development, and healthcare industry expertise. In this role, you must establish and drive this vision across the organization, positioning AI as a strategic force that powers Adonis's revenue cycle management solutions. You’ll also define how AI transforms our ability to help healthcare providers recover more revenue, reduce manual effort, and build intelligent, scalable foundations for their revenue cycle operations. Adonis is the leading AI orchestration platform for healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), purpose-built for healthcare organizations seeking to transform their revenue operations. Traditional RCM processes often struggle with inefficiencies, costing providers up to 15% or more of their potential revenue. Through advanced automation, data science, and AI Agents, Adonis helps revenue teams detect vulnerabilities, optimize workflows, and deploy precise solutions that drive reliable and scalable financial outcomes. Adonis is headquartered in New York City and has raised over $95M in funding, including a recent $40M Series C round led by Quadrille Capital with continued support from existing investors such as General Catalyst and Bling Capital. Requirements

Ten plus years experience with AI/ML: Deep understanding of machine learning techniques, especially those applicable to healthcare
Substantial experience in healthcare technology, clinical workflows, or related fields
Proven track record of taking AI models / products from concept to production in complex environments
Experience leading data science and engineering teams
Ability to translate technical capabilities into tangible business value
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, holding strong opinions loosely and valuing input from others
Exceptional ability to communicate complex AI concepts to diverse audiences
Familiarity with healthcare regulations affecting AI deployment (HIPAA, FDA, etc.)
Strong understanding of ethical AI principles and governance frameworks

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the overarching AI/ML strategy for Adonis, aligning with business objectives and healthcare industry needs
Balance long-term strategic AI initiatives with quick wins that deliver immediate business impact for revenue cycle management
Lead and mentor the Data Science and Machine Learning teams, fostering innovation and excellence in AI development
Establish and maintain a robust AI governance framework ensuring all solutions meet healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, FDA, etc.)
Design scalable, production-ready AI/ML architectures that drive value for healthcare customers
Quantify and communicate the tangible benefits of Adonis AI solutions to customers, partners, and stakeholders
Drive best practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining AI models in production environments
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure AI initiatives deliver maximum value
