About The Position

The Director, AI Delivery is a strategic leader who translates AI strategy into secure, scalable solutions across CFA Institute’s global portfolios. You’ll drive high-impact initiatives spanning generative AI, automation, analytics, and machine learning—leading cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes and establish best practices in a rapidly evolving space. The Director, Al Delivery is a strategic-level subject matter expert responsible for architecting, governing, and executing complex Al-enabled initiatives across CFA Institute’s global portfolios. Reporting to the Senior Head, Al Enablement and Digital Delivery, this role translates enterprise Al strategy into scalable, secure, and high-impact delivery outcomes. This position operates at the intersection of Al engineering, digital product delivery, enterprise governance, and business transformation. The role is accountable for major Al programs and cross-portfolio workstreams, ensuring delivery excellence across generative Al, intelligent agents, automation, analytics, and machine learning use cases. This role provides deep technical and strategic expertise, anticipates systemic delivery risks, integrates diverse stakeholder perspectives, and establishes best practices in emerging and unfamiliar domains. The Director, Al Delivery may oversee and guide outcomes produced by Al engineers, delivery managers, vendors, and cross-functional contributors. This role reports to the Senior Head, Al Enablement & Delivery and may be based in eligible US jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related discipline required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in digital delivery, engineering, solution, or technology strategy
  • Understanding of generative Al and large language models (LLMs), including experience deploying enterprise solutions using platforms such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, AWS, or comparable ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in modern cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerized/microservices architectures.
  • Experience in integrating Al solutions with enterprise data platforms and business systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and measurable Al-enabled outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Al Delivery Leadership Lead enterprise Al delivery initiatives from concept through production, ensuring alignment to CFA lnstitute's 2030 Strategy and enterprise Al roadmap.
  • Translate Al strategy into executable roadmaps, delivery plans, and measurable value realization frameworks.
  • Shape and mature Al delivery methodologies, integrating Agile/SAFe, DevOps, MLOps, model lifecycle governance, and cloud-native practices.
  • Al Delivery Technology Leader focused on driving measurable business outcomes, not just tracking project timelines.
  • Enterprise Cross-Functional Integration Orchestrate complex, multi-disciplinary Al workstreams to a delivery plan across Education, Membership, Finance, RAS, MCX, and shared services.
  • Integrate engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, legal, and risk perspectives to resolve any challenges or constraints to move the delivery
  • Ensure Al solutions are scalable, secure, ethically governed, and operationally sustainable.
  • Influence prioritization and sequencing of Al initiatives across portfolios to maximize enterprise value.
  • Governance, Risk & Responsible Al Operationalize Al governance frameworks in partnership with Enterprise Risk, Legal, Cybersecurity, and IT Operations.
  • Track and manage organizational risks related to Al initiatives and collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management to ensure effective risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
  • Establish governance checkpoints within the Al delivery model, including architecture reviews, legal and compliance reviews, and alignment with the enterprise Al governance framework.
  • Financial & Portfolio Accountability Accountable for major Al initiatives and large-scale delivery programs, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality outcomes.
  • Manage program-level budgets and vendor engagements in alignment with enterprise financial controls.
  • Define and monitor KPls measuring Al adoption, delivery performance, operational efficiency, and business value realization.
  • SME Oversight & Influence Influence broader organizational strategy through thought leadership, delivery and technical authority.
  • Represent the function in enterprise forums and, as appropriate, external industry engagements.
