About The Position

Inside the Role The Director of Aftermarket Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing end to end aftermarket supply chain operations, with a strong focus on material planning, forecasting, inventory management, and backorder recovery to support customer’s parts needs. This role ensures that parts availability, fill rate performance, and customer uptime targets are consistently achieved. The position oversees the strategic implementation and continuous improvement of SAP systems and other planning systems to drive accuracy, efficiency, and operational excellence across the aftermarket network. What You Drive at DTNA Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all aftermarket supply chain planning activities across North America. Lead material planning, demand forecasting, and replenishment processes to ensure optimal part availability while controlling inventory investment. Own end‑to-end inventory management strategy, including stocking policies, lifecycle transitions (launches and sundowns), and excess/obsolete reduction initiatives. Serve as executive business owner for SAP planning (ECC and SPP), supply chain configurations; guide system enhancements and major implementation phases of SAP EWM, SAP Strategic Business Network (SBN) and SAP S4. Lead a multi-year SAP road map that includes integration of Mexico Material Planning and a complete redesign of the Supply Chain department’s working experience. Implement software, technology, and data products that limit complexity and unlock future opportunities for enabling generative and agentic AI solutions. Partner with IT to resolve ERP bugs and conduct root cause analyses to ensure system stability. Develop and execute supply chain and PDC footprint and capability strategies that align with long‑term business and customer needs in collaboration with PDC Operations. Use KPIs across planning, inventory, and fulfillment functions to drive continuous improvement. Drive backorder recovery, root‑cause analysis, and fill‑rate improvement programs to support uptime for National Fleets and dealer customers. Collaborate cross‑functionally with PDC distribution operations, Purchasing, Parts Sales, Engineering, AMS Remanufacturing, and Service to synchronize supply chain activities with business goals. Partner closely with the Parts Optimization team and Parts Marketing to align stock levels with seasonal patterns, product introductions, and field usage trends. Lead initiatives that drive inventory health and accountability across DTNA departments while meeting or exceeding financial targets. Manage supplier performance in partnership with Purchasing, including lead‑time adherence, delivery accuracy, and recovery plans for constrained items. Grow Direct Ship sales channel through innovative programs and initiative that drive the right business through that avenue. Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team and develop future leaders for DTNA Promote a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement, ensuring team members feel valued, respected, and empowered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, materials management, or aftermarket operations, including 4 years of management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and prioritize multiple high‑visibility, high‑value projects including SAP implementations and IT integrations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aftermarket parts, service parts planning, or OE/aftermarket support environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading large‑scale inventory and planning organizations with measurable service‑level improvement.
  • Strong understanding of ERPs, demand planning, and supply chain analytics.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP or other ERP systems
  • Ability to lead organizational change, build new processes, and drive innovation in fast‑paced environments.
  • MBA preferred.
