About The Position

The Director of Academic and Career Integration at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) is responsible for enhancing the integration of career aspirations into academic programs across CUNY. This role aims to improve career success for students by developing partnerships, strategies, and policies that align academic programming with career opportunities. The Director will lead multiple projects, collaborate with various stakeholders, and ensure that students are equipped with the necessary skills and connections to succeed in their chosen careers.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of education or work experience, or a combination of both.
  • Experience leading large, high-profile projects or multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Ability to organize priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience managing staff members and program budgets.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and use it for decision making.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and data display tools.
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of and experience in post-secondary education.
  • Experience with learning management systems and academic operations applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple complex project workstreams and ensure on-time completion of deliverables.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, workflow, and partners for various projects.
  • Gather input from stakeholders to create new processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Identify and recommend creative solutions to ensure projects are on track.
  • Facilitate and lead meetings, trainings, and presentations for diverse stakeholders.
  • Center diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in project design and execution.
  • Measure results of projects and analyze data to inform work.
  • Develop budgets, monitor spending, and realign budgets according to program needs.
  • Supervise and coach reporting staff to ensure productivity and goal alignment.
  • Contribute to the development of frameworks and models for academic and career integration.
  • Build relationships and trust with internal and external stakeholders.
