About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled Director of Integrated Facilities Operations (IFM) to lead full‑scale facilities operations at Keiser University’s Flagship Campus in West Palm Beach, FL. This role supports and advises the University President and requires a leader capable of delivering transparent and consistent communications, operational excellence, technical depth, and strategic partnership in a complex higher‑education facilities environment. Our Director will serve as a senior facilities executive on campus, responsible for the performance, reliability, and long‑term stewardship of the physical environment. This includes oversight of physical plant operations, custodial services, grounds management, energy management, capital planning, and maintenance of critical infrastructure. Success in this role requires exceptional communication, disciplined financial management, and the ability to translate IFM best practices into measurable outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Director‑level IFM leadership in a complex, multi‑building environment (higher education, healthcare, corporate campus, or similar).
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing multi‑million‑dollar operating and capital budgets, including financial modeling, cost‑avoidance strategies, and lifecycle asset planning.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with C‑suite executives, translating technical, operational, and financial data into actionable strategic decisions.
  • Extensive experience leading skilled trades and technical teams, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
  • Track record of building strong client relationships, influencing stakeholders, and implementing IFM best practices in demanding, high‑visibility environments.
  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms, building automation systems (BAS), and energy management systems, with the ability to leverage data for operational optimization.
  • Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, with a focus on reliability, service quality, and campus experience.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience – 5 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience – 5 years

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for all integrated facilities operations, including physical plant, custodial, grounds, energy, environmental services, and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, life safety, and structural assets).
  • Ensure operational reliability and regulatory compliance across all campus facilities, including adherence to OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ADA, and local and state building codes.
  • Manage a complex annual operating budget of up to $7M, including forecasting, cost modeling, capital planning, and implementation of financial controls to optimize lifecycle value.
  • Serve as the primary facilities advisor to the University President, delivering transparent reporting, data‑driven recommendations, and strategic insights on campus infrastructure, risk mitigation, and long‑term asset planning.
  • Lead multi‑disciplinary skilled trades teams (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, general maintenance), ensuring technical proficiency, workforce development, and adherence to preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Oversee renovation and capital improvement projects, ensuring alignment with campus master plans, budget parameters, and performance specifications.
  • Implement and optimize CMMS‑driven maintenance programs, leveraging work order analytics, asset condition assessments, and KPI dashboards to drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion energy management and sustainability initiatives, including utility monitoring, energy conservation measures, and performance benchmarking.
  • Develop and maintain high‑trust relationships with C‑suite leaders, academic stakeholders, student leadership, and frontline teams to ensure alignment, responsiveness, and service excellence.
  • Drive emergency preparedness and incident response, including business continuity planning, critical system redundancy, and coordination with campus safety teams.
