Performs advanced (senior-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of an agency’s business function, division, or department. Work involves establishing goals and objectives; developing guidelines, procedures, and policies; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals; coordinating and evaluating business function, division, or department activities; developing and evaluating budget requests; and monitoring budget expenditures. Supervises the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This role may involve supervising employees who are pending licensure. In these cases the supervisor will ensure these employees meet performance expectations and receive the appropriate level of guidance and support during the licensure process. Will be responsible to meet with employee and provide status updates to senior management in regards to agreed upon timelines to obtain full licensure. Reports to senior management will detail any performance concerns, impacts on departmental operations as well as document any licensure-related issues or delays and outlining strategies to address them.
