About The Position
We are looking for an Underground Construction Directional Driller to join our growing team. The Directional Driller will be primarily responsible for operating the directional drill and/or locating for the rig. This position requires experienced individuals with knowledge of the construction industry, particularly in drilling and locating operations. The successful candidate will be expected to operate drilling equipment and various other construction equipment used on the job site to complete daily work assignments. The role involves drilling and/or locating predetermined paths to exit points, assisting in potholing, and performing duties in both standard and high-risk areas. Safety is paramount, and the individual must be capable of performing tasks in all temperatures and climates, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and successfully. The Directional Driller will also be required to perform physical tasks for the entire assigned work shift, which may include lifting and/or moving weights ranging from 50 to 150 pounds. The job is primarily outdoors, subject to inclement weather conditions, and the individual must be capable of standing and walking lengthy distances (over 1 mile) over uneven terrain. Additionally, the role may require driving and/or sitting for long periods to reach remote job site locations. The candidate must be available to travel overnight to various sites as requested, making flexibility and adaptability key components of this position.
