As a member of the Accounting Team, the primary function of the Direct Investment Accountant is to support accounting team members with various aspects of direct investment reporting, compliance and analysis. This position will be a hybrid work arrangement The ideal candidate is someone who is: Professional individual with ability to perform independently as well as part of a team Ability to multi-task and work with multiple team members Must have excellent communication skills Proficient Excel skills Willingness to learn new systems and applications High quality administrative/organizational skills; strong attention to details
Requirements
- Experience or familiarity with finance and basic accounting concepts
- Ability to multi-task and work with multiple team members
Responsibilities
- Work with a manager to properly record direct investment transactions, maintain Equitrak (direct investment tracking database), and reconcile custody holdings
- Prepare valuations of public and privately held direct investments.
- Prepare valuations of marketable and non-marketable securities.
- Ensure compliance with document retention policies and procedures related to direct investments.
- Work with other groups to obtain investment related information.
- Work with auditors on all aspects of direct investment reporting.
- Work on ad hoc marketing requests and projects.
- Work as a part of the team on implementation and testing of new IT systems (Equitrak, eFront, etc.).
