About The Position

We're hiring medical liaisons to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position gives you the opportunity to showcase your leadership and organizational skills in the role of the medical liaison. Not only will you be a DSP, you will be an advocate and voice as people exercise informed decision making in regards to their health care. You will be an ally as they communicate their wants and needs to others. The medical liaison is a hands-on professional that has a direct role in supporting the health and wellness of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The medical liaison is also responsible for supporting the team meet the health and medical needs of the people whom they support.

Requirements

• Minimum of High School diploma or High School Equivalency; college experience preferred.
• Valid New York State drivers' license that meets Heritage Christian Services motor vehicle standards.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and provide assistance to people who require support with transfers.
• Minimum Six months experience in direct support is required.

Nice To Haves

• Medical background experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a medical liaison.
