About The Position

Methodist Home for Children is looking for strong, dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Staff in our multipurpose home in Winton, NC. If you are passionate about helping young people turn their lives around, this is your chance to be part of something bigger. Multipurpose homes are structured residential facilities designed to help young men break the cycle of repeat criminal behavior. We work with Level II juvenile offenders, teaching them discipline, accountability, and life skills to help them succeed. MHC staff live and work in the home, providing round-the-clock guidance and mentorship to keep these teens on the right path.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• High school diploma required; experience working with youth (ages 11-17) preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement MHC's structured model of care to change attitudes and behaviors.
• Lead by example, teaching respect, responsibility, and resilience.
• Maintain a safe and positive living environment.
• Work closely with youth, families, and community partners to create long-term success plans.
• Support daily activities, from schoolwork to life skills training.
