Direct Support Staff for Adult Residential Facility
About The Position

As a Direct Care Staff member in our Adult Residential Facility, you’ll provide essential support to adults with developmental disabilities—helping them grow, connect, and thrive. Your role will vary depending on the needs of the individuals you support and may include: Following care plans and helping individuals achieve their personal goals. Completing shift documentation and communication logs. Supporting daily living activities such as cleaning, cooking, and light household duties. Assisting with community events, healthy food choices, and budget management. Encouraging hobbies, studies, and social activities. Providing personal care, hygiene, and bathing assistance (if needed). Assisting with lifting, transferring, or medication support (if applicable). Communicating with staff and managers about progress and needs. Maintaining a warm, respectful, and professional demeanor.
Requirements
- Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to helping others succeed.
- Weekend availability is highly desirable.
- DSP 1 & 2 certification preferred (we pay for certification if not yet completed).
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification is a plus (training available).
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable for the role).
