About The Position

Spectrum for Living is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with developmental disabilities in achieving their maximum potential. This entry-level position offers flexible shifts and does not require prior experience. The role involves providing essential care and support to residents in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid NON-PROBATIONARY NJ or NY Driver's License (Driving is required).
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodations).
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all residents are clean, well-fed, and provided for at all times, including toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding, and laundry work as needed.
• Providing transportation via company van to necessary medical appointments or other activities.
• Assisting with meal preparation, serving, feeding, and clean up.
• Communicating information in a clear and concise manner for client(s).
• Integrating new staff members into unit activities.
• Actively participating in recreational activities with client(s).
