About The Position
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at Opportunity Foundation support adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. We encourage them, care for them, and support them in every aspect of their lives - we make a real, tangible difference for the folks we support - and for our entire community. From helping someone get started with their day, assisting with showering, dressing, eating, taking medications, etc., to taking folks to and from their jobs, appointments, or recreational activities, DSPs do it all. We even go to the movies, bowling, out to eat, and take folks on vacations and to the fair! Our support and positivity help set folks up for the best days. And we aren't just there for the people we support - at Opportunity Foundation of Central Oregon, we are there for each other, as well. Are you thinking that you've never done work like this before? That's OK! We love training new people and helping them find their purpose. All your training with OFCO is provided and paid for. A variety of shift options are available - some allow for 3-4 days off.
