As a Direct Support Professional, you'll work 1-on-1 with your clients inside their homes and in the community, and support them with various activities.

  • Deliver safe, confidential, and respectful care at all times.
  • Provide verbal and/or physical prompts to support individuals in daily activities and promote independent living, such as working toward personal goals, meal preparation, cleaning, transportation, and social engagement.
  • Accurately document progress toward individual goals and maintain timely and detailed logs during each shift.
  • Collaborate with local office staff to ensure quality care.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; or completion of a state approved training program; or demonstrate skills and have a passing score on a written competency test.
  • Completion of mandatory in-service trainings.
  • Able to pass criminal background check.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • Performs tasks in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintains a professional attitude and demeanor and communicates effectively.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, ambulate throughout a patient's home, navigating stairs and other physical barriers typical to private residences.
