About The Position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role at Sevita involves providing community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The DSP will work closely with clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans, assisting individuals in living as independently as possible while fostering meaningful relationships and promoting personal growth.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Six months of experience in human services preferred.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Successful clearance of background checks.
• A reliable and responsible attitude.
• A compassionate approach and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation and support for outings, medical appointments, and shopping.
• Assist individuals with daily living skills, including meal preparation and medication administration.
• Guide individuals on developmental goals such as community participation, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities.
• Support individuals with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
