About The Position

AHRC New York City is seeking Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) 30 hours per week for their Adult Day Programs in All Five Boroughs. Advancement to a Full-time position with benefits is available for those in good standing. Schedule: Monday -Friday 8:30am -2:30pm (30 hours per week). Pay Rate: $20 per hour The following Bonuses are available depending on the Programs need. $2,000 annually upon completion and passing of AHRC Defensive Driving class $2,000 annually upon completion of AMAP training Why become an AHRC NYC DSP! Requirements

Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same.
Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
Reasonable flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to the scheduling needs of the individual.
Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies.
Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.
High School diploma or GED is required.
