Direct Support Professionals in staffed residences: Provide assistance in a home setting for 2-3 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Support assigned individuals’ direct care needs including but not limited to getting dressed, bathing and showering, toileting and hygiene needs, grocery shopping, feeding, medication administration, assistance with walking and/or wheelchair mobility, preparation of meals and snacks as needed, and facilitation of activities to increase community inclusion. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as requested to support individuals in discussions of their person-centered service plans with regard to their health, safety, and overall wellbeing. Assist individuals to work toward and achieve their individualized service goals when applicable. Work together as a team with other staff assigned to the home to ensure the day-to-day functionality of the home under the guidance of the Assistant Residential Director. Be willing to work where needed in the Owensboro and Henderson service areas and stay overnight in the home.
