Direct Support Professional
About The Position
The Judevine Center for Autism is seeking hardworking, dependable, caring, and fun individuals to join their growing team as Direct Support Professionals. The organization has a mission to make a real difference in the quality of life for children and adults with autism and their families. Direct Support Professionals provide individualized support to adults with autism and/or developmental or intellectual disabilities, enabling them to live independently in their own homes and participate in their local community. The support aims to maximize their independence and is tailored to their specific needs. Opportunities are available for both full-time and part-time roles, requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays due to the 24-hour nature of the service. Training will be provided.
Requirements
- Can work both independently and in a team setting.
- Like to show up for work every day with a positive attitude and ready to tackle the day’s adventure.
- Are at least 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Are dependable, have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Are willing to work evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to complete background screenings with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to individuals/groups.
- Help people reach for their dreams and accomplish their goals.
- Maintain professional relationships with individuals, families, community members, and other staff.
- Be a part of a dynamic and supportive team in a growing organization full of opportunities.
