Sunrise is one of the largest, private not-for-profit organizations in the country dedicated to serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over the last 60 years, Sunrise has grown from serving 50 people in South Florida to over 1,400 across several states with over 2,500 employees, partly due to assisting state agencies with deinstitutionalization efforts and welcoming smaller companies into the Sunrise Group.
