About The Position

Supportive Community Innovations offers a wide range of services, including ABA therapy, Behavior Support Services, Recreational Therapy, and more, for individuals with Autism, developmental differences and general behavioral and mental health concerns. Direct Support Professionals work in client homes, community settings, and outpatient offices to provide assistance in skill building and independent living. This position offers opportunities for extensive training, professional development, and a career in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) field, if desired.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance/registration.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass extensive background checks and drug screenings.
  • Day and evening availability (weekends may be required).
  • Strong self-awareness, empathy, integrity, and humility.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Ability to receive and implement feedback accurately and efficiently.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Experience or strong interest in working with individuals with developmental differences.
  • Experience or strong interest in handling challenging behaviors.
  • History of taking initiative.
  • Solutions-oriented approach to challenging situations.
  • Ability to brainstorm and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Compassion towards others, no exceptions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, clinical and administrative support professionals, individuals, and families.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the ABA field is a plus but not required.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • High level of enthusiasm and energy.

Responsibilities

  • Implement feedback accurately and efficiently from clinical and administrative staff.
  • Work in various settings including client homes, community spaces, and outpatient offices.
  • Collaborate closely with a variety of technicians, clinical and administrative support professionals, and families.
  • Show enthusiasm for learning and teaching others, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Comply with all safety and procedure protocols to ensure the well-being of individuals under your care.
