About The Position
ARISE/EFR is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Syracuse area with a man who has a physical disability and utilizes a wheelchair. He is looking for dedicated support staff to provide Respite and assist him with personal care tasks. Looking for an individual who is dependable, patient and enthusiastic. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus. Driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Hours: Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am-12:00pm. Ability to fill in for weekday Respite and Community Habilitation staff, as needed and during vacations, a plus. Pay rate: $22.50 per hour
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
- Ability to fill in for weekday Respite and Community Habilitation staff, as needed and during vacations, a plus.
