Direct Support Professional Per Diem
About The Position
KenCrest Services is currently hiring Per Diem Direct Support Professionals to provide support in our group homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These flexible, as-needed roles are a great fit for dependable, compassionate people looking to make a real impact and who want the freedom to pick up shifts based on availability. As a DSP, you’ll provide supervision, hands-on support, and encouragement to help the people we serve live as independently and fully as possible. Whether it’s preparing meals, going into the community, or offering daily living support, your role matters — and we’ll give you the tools and training you need to succeed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required
- Ability to attend a mandatory paid New Employee Orientation training program (M–F, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM)
- Clear background checks and drug screening per state regulations
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal directions in English
- Certification in medication administration, CPR, and first aid (or willingness to obtain during training)
Nice To Haves
- Experience is a plus but we’re happy to train the right candidates with the right mindset (IND123)
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with activities of daily living (such as personal care, meals, and medication administration)
- Encourage participation in social and community activities
- Provide safe, respectful supervision
- Assist with general housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Help foster independence and personal growth in everyday routines
