The Direct Support Professional works under the direct supervision of the Client Care Manager and under the general guidance of the individual as they provide general habilitation and companionship care as indicated in their Individual Support Plan (ISP). Direct Care Support Professional, have an important role in allowing our clients to maintain their independence with an Everyday Lives focused care. Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s) report directly to Client Care Managers (CCM’s) and are expected to communicate with their CCM regularly, as needed, and be available during their scheduled shift, as necessary. Announced and unannounced home visits will occur two times annually during a scheduled shift in the client’s residence. DSP’s are evaluated by their Client Care Manager on their performance at 90 days and annually thereafter. DSP’s are expected to maintain the integrity of JEVS Care at Home, and are expected to comply with all JEVS Care at Home policies, as found in the Caregiver Manual. Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) is a requirement of the role, and training on how to properly document services and timekeeping will be provided to the DSP. DSP is responsible for communicating any EVV compliance issues with their Client Care Manager (CCM).
