About The Position

Self-Direction DSP - Liverpool Area (Job #SSMC-OW) ARISE/EFR is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Respite in the Liverpool area for a 10-year-old boy with autism. His family is looking for a dedicated, active individual to provide him with support and supervision, both at home and in the community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervision at home; accompanying and supporting him during community outings; supporting him with health and safety needs and providing transportation, as needed. We are looking for an individual who is dependable, patient, enthusiastic and able to work independently. Reliable vehicle and New York State driver's license are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Hours: Up to 12 hours per week. After-school/evenings and weekends. Flexible schedule to be agreed upon with the family. Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
