About The Position

LADD is a recognized and respected voice for community inclusion and innovation in our field. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide primary support services to individuals with developmental disabilities, while fostering a teaching relationship that encourages healthy and productive personal growth, community inclusion, creativity, and independence.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Current and valid driver’s license (with fewer than 6 points) and vehicle insurance
Ability to pass a background check (includes physical and a drug screen, and criminal check)
Ability to work a flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, and holidays)

Responsibilities

Promote and support the appropriate level of independent living; which may include teaching, oversight, and hands-on assistance with the activities of daily living
Encourage an individual’s engagement in social and community activities as well as appropriate physical/wellness activities
Ensure an individual’s health and safety needs are being met
Commit to being part of a team that creates and sustains a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture.
