Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at a program in Virginia Beach, VA. Merakey is a leading developmental, behavioral health, and education non-profit provider with a fifty-year history, offering a breadth of integrated services to individuals and communities across the country. The role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives, encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals, and fostering independence by teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry, and assisting with daily and personal activities. No prior experience is required as paid training is provided. The work is performed under the supervision of a House Manager.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old
- Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
- A valid driver’s license is required
