As a Direct Support Professional, you will: Ensure safety and security, providing supervision at all times. Instruct and assist students in carrying out their daily living activities, including self-care management and developing social, communication, and emotional regulation skills. Assist in the classroom by providing guidance and acting as a role model for students. Manage behavior of our students. Demonstrate proactive, appropriate, and effective interactions with students while maintaining self-control during crisis interventions.

Requirements

  • Must be least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be available to work a schedule that will consist of both first and second shifts, every other weekend, double shifts, and a holiday rotation
  • A valid Wisconsin driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's in psychology, social work, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
