When you join our team, you will be enrolled in our training program designed to build the skills and confidence needed to meet your job requirements and build your career with us. As a Direct Support Professional, you will: Ensure safety and security, providing supervision at all times. Instruct and assist students in carrying out their daily living activities, including self-care management and developing social, communication, and emotional regulation skills. Assist in the classroom by providing guidance and acting as a role model for students. Manage behavior of our students. Demonstrate proactive, appropriate, and effective interactions with students while maintaining self-control during crisis interventions.
Requirements
- Must be least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be available to work a schedule that will consist of both first and second shifts, every other weekend, double shifts, and a holiday rotation
- A valid Wisconsin driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's in psychology, social work, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
