About The Position

If you answered YES to either of these questions, then consider joining our Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health team! Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Located in Newfoundland, PA, this position is responsible for assisting individuals with activities of daily living and promoting growth in the areas of functional skills, personal needs, communication, and personal adjustment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Valid Drivers License required
Ability to complete required new hire orientation class
Possess a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs
Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches

Nice To Haves

One (1) year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, or adults preferred

Responsibilities

Provide safe and appropriate care for all Pocono Center residents
Be responsible for supervision of residents and seeing that their physical, emotional and personal needs are met
Assist in hygiene tasks such as showering or toileting
Support individuals throughout daily routine, including joining them in community outings
Attend in-service training programs to develop skills
Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned by coordinator
