Do you believe that we are better together by including everyone? KenCrest is hiring Direct Support Professionals / Home Health Aides for multiple locations within Western Montgomery County. The Direct Support Professional role is for those who enjoy a challenge and the reward that comes with it. Being in this role requires both attention to detail and creativity because you are serving as both a life coach and personal support agent. Requirements

• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
• Clear criminal record, background checks and drug test in accordance with state requirements
• Ability to pass all required training, including CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration
• Ability to convey, understand and follow spoken and written instructions in English
• Strong Communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, preferred
• One (1) year of experience in supporting individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities, preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as both a caregiver and life coach to promote independence.
• Helping guide individuals with activities of daily living (some examples are personal care, meals, giving medication, social outings, and shopping trips).
• Support the individual by helping with communication and self-expression.
• General housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Be creative in helping the individual meet their own goals - look for fun activities or ways for them to participate in community activities.
• Complete required documents like incident reports, behavioral data, seizure charts, medical visit forms, etc.
