About The Position

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
  • Completion of all required training (provided by Abilities, LLC)
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn documentation systems

Responsibilities

  • Help people with disabilities in their homes and out in the community.
  • Support people with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and getting dressed.
  • Help them reach their personal goals and do fun or meaningful activities.
  • Follow their care plans and help with behavior or medical needs as trained.
  • Keep good notes about what happens during your shift using a computer or phone.
  • Give medications after training and follow health rules.
  • Treat everyone with respect and help them make their own choices.
  • Keep the home safe, clean, and welcoming.
  • Drive people to appointments or outings when needed.
