About The Position

Life Works is an agency that provides customized, inclusive community supports for individuals with developmental disabilities who live in their own homes. We are looking for a dependable, flexible, energetic, positive, and supportive individual to be on-call for a mid-age man who lives in the beautiful Jamul suburb. He loves going on walks around his neighborhood, going to the beach or park, cleaning, listening to music, and much more! He has some motor planning challenges that make life more difficult, but with a dynamic 24/7 support system, he is able to live a successful life. This individual communicates his wants and desires though the use of a communication device. Our goal is helping the people we support to live out their dreams and aspirations "one step at a time". Candidates for this position would be individuals that are interested in a job that is diverse, intimate and always changing. Personal care and assisting with daily living skills is required. Paid training is provided. The person we support relies heavily on her team for opportunities, safety, and a partner in communication. Prior practical experience with autism, ABA, OT, is helpful.
