Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Basic typing and data‑entry skills
  • Ability to navigate computer systems and electronic records
  • Proficient in email communication

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct Support & Daily Living Assistance Support residents in daily routines—self‑care, money management, cooking, social skills, and community outings
  • Promote independence by consistently implementing Individual Support Agreements (ISAs)
  • Serve as a strong advocate for each resident
  • Perform medication administration and ensure accuracy (with support from nursing staff)
  • Maintain a safe, respectful environment that follows all policies and regulations
  • Program Implementation & Team Collaboration Work closely with the Group Home Manager and interdisciplinary team
  • Attend team meetings and trainings
  • Help develop and implement individualized ISAs
  • Contribute ideas that support growth, independence, and quality of life
  • Recordkeeping & Documentation Accurately complete progress notes, data entry, monthly summaries, and all group‑home documentation
  • Ensure records are timely, complete, and aligned with agency standards
  • Housekeeping & Home Operations Participate in household tasks, cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking, and organizing
  • Assist with ordering supplies, basic maintenance, and vehicle upkeep
  • Report any issues with the home, grounds, or equipment to the Group Home Manager (or DSP Level II when appropriate)
