About The Position

ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an adult male who lives near the Valley Plaza on South Salina Street in Syracuse. He is looking for a dedicated person to provide him with support in the community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to… encouraging him to explore his community, expand his interests and hobbies, and working on independent living skills. We are looking for individuals who are reliable and can assist with finding no cost activities to do together. His current interests are Music, video games, interested in joining a gym, and is a huge sneaker and hoodie collector. A Reliable vehicle and a valid NYS driver's license are required. Schedule: Days and Times are flexible. He would prefer a start time of late morning/afternoon. He is requesting that the DSP start with one shift a week and then increase to multiple shifts as the service continues and is successful. 20 hours max once successful. Pay rate: $23 per hour Plus, mileage and staff activity fee reimbursements. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license
Effective communication and organizational skills required
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy
