About The Position
Self-Direction DSP - Cazenovia Area (Job #SSM/AL) ARISE/EFR is seeking a Community Habilitation Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in Cazenovia with a young woman with autism and other developmental delays. She and her family are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assist her with working on goals, both at home and in community settings
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- valid NYS driver’s license
- HS diploma/GED
- Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors a plus.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
