About The Position

We are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning. Support a man in the Perry Hall area with going to Yellow Bolt Golf on Saturdays. Enjoys practicing golf, socializing, possibly going to lunch, swimming at the YMCA, and finding other activities in the community. Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life. DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by: Assisting with participation and exploration of the community Cultivating and expanding independent living skills Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D preferred
• Must be at least 20 years of age
• Must have at least 2 years driving experience
• Current driver’s license (not provisional) with less than 3 points on driving record
• Must be able to transport people supported as needed
• Some lifting and transferring may be required
