About The Position

Join our dynamic team at DDRC in Denver/Lakewood, CO, as a Full-Time Direct Support Professional in our Day Program! Schedule : Mon-Thurs 7:30am-4:30pm Compensation Rate of pay - $20.00/hour Medical Benefits - $30/month for an individual (opportunity to add dependents) $500 deductible, 100% covered after. What's your day like? At DDRC, we transform everyday tasks into extraordinary moments of joy and growth. As a Direct Support Professional, you'll play a pivotal role in creating smiles and fostering independence for individuals with developmental disabilities. Your responsibilities will include providing support in both facility and community settings, assisting with personal hygiene and health needs, and coaching essential life skills. You'll organize engaging activities that promote social interaction and help people navigate their desires throughout the day.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Current driver's license along with a clean motor vehicle record, since transportation in a company vehicle will be part of your role.
  • Willingness to drive a large van/bus.
  • Physical stamina is important to assist individuals safely, including the ability to stand, pivot, and transfer up to 75 pounds.
  • Basic computer skills will aid in necessary documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference for candidates possessing at least one year of paid work or related volunteer experience, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities.
