Direct Support Professional/PCA/SRNA/Caregiver/CNA
About The Position
New Vista Hazelwood is seeking direct caregivers to support our population of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. If you have a passion for caregiving or are interested in starting your career in healthcare, look no further! The Hazelwood Center is a Intermediate Care Facility that supports the long term care needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Direct Support Professional position is vital to safety, happiness, and wellbeing of our clients. The support level required will be based on each client’s individual needs. In this role you will provide assistance with basic daily care needs such as bathing, toileting, feeding, dressing, active treatment, and socializing would be delivered by you as a part of your regular job duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to meet criminal background and drug screening standards ( NO Felony, NO pending Court dates)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English language.
- Employee must be able to flex hours and must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.
- Employees must be able to work at least 7.5 hours per day with no restrictions to meet the needs of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with basic daily care needs such as bathing, toileting, feeding, dressing
- Provide active treatment
- Provide socializing
