About The Position

Self-Direction DSP - Baldwinsville Area (Job #SSMC-LG) ARISE/EFR is seeking a Community Habilitation Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Baldwinsville area with a young woman with an intellectual disability. She and her family are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assist her with working on her goals, both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: accompanying and supporting her during community outings, assisting her to gain independent living skills at home and in the community and transportation, as needed. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities a plus. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required.
Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities a plus.
