About The Position
Exceptional Family Resources/Arise is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Western Lights area with a young man who enjoys fitness. The pay-rate for this position is $22/hour with opportunities for growth. He would like staff to assist him in his home and community. He is diagnosed with a developmental disability. He has an amazing family, however he would like to spend more time on his own with staff as he's in his 20's and seeks independence in pursuit of his own interests. He would like to access the gym, the mall, parks, and stores where he enjoys socializing with others, shopping, and fitness. He enjoys eating out at restaurants. The DSP will drive him to locations of his interest and participate alongside him. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff that can work permanently or fill in, and would like to grow their support team. The ideal candidate can be firm, understanding, communicative, and active. This is a part time position and additional hours are available through the agency to build your schedule. Experience is a plus, however training will be provided. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. All mileage accrued while transporting the individual is reimbursed. Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
- Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required.
- Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire
