Requirements
- Must be 21 year's old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in another human service area or in a health care field OR Associates degree in Human Services or related field required.
- Will be required to successfully complete the OPWDD fingerprinting clearance.

Responsibilities
- Serve as an advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Assist with personal care needs, provide supervision, and act as a role model to clients who reside in a group home setting or out in the community.
- Assist clients in their day-to-day routines and teach them skills necessary to achieve their maximum potential as defined in their care plans.
- Help in maintaining the household including, but not limited to, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning and shopping.
- Serve as a positive liaison between outside service providers, parents, and others who have a relationship with clients.
- Provide transportation for program needs/recreational activities.
- Creating and maintaining a meaningful environment to help others live their best possible life.
