About The Position

Exceptional Family Resources/ARISE is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an active young man with a developmental disability. In this role, you will help him explore his community to access his memberships to the YMCA, Get Air, Rosamond Gifford Zoo, and Beaver Lake. He enjoys walking, exploring machines, equipment, and swimming. He would like to practice communication skills such as greeting and responding to others and independent living skills such as toilet training, changing, and structuring activities. The ideal candidate will be a current EFR/ARISE DSP, have effective communication skills, and patience. Please respond with a resume or summary of experience. Seeking staff for any/all of the following days & times: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 2:30-5:30 pm Payrate: $21.00 Location: Baldwinsville, NY Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assistance with independent living skills, support with health and safety and pursuing personal interests. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus. A reliable vehicle and a valid NYS driver's license are required. EFR/ARISE is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
