About The Position

ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide support to a woman in the Fayetteville area. The individual is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated staff member who is committed to providing consistent, person-centered support in a respectful and encouraging manner. Responsibilities include supporting her independence, assisting with exercise and healthy eating, fostering the development of communication skills, and encouraging participation in hobbies, clubs, and classes. About the Individual: The individual enjoys shopping and participating in creative activities such as painting and coloring. She also makes use of her community memberships, including the YMCA and the zoo, and values opportunities to engage in these activities regularly. Schedule and Availability: Work hours include approximately two days per week, scheduled from a combination of Mondays, Fridays, and weekend days. Each shift is about 5 hours. Flexibility to fill in for other staff a plus. The pay rate is $23 per hour. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Reliable transportation is essential. Prior experience as a DSP is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Must successfully complete background checks, fingerprinting, and a DMV record check (conducted by the agency). Requirements

  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Effective communication and organizational skills required.
  • Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
  • Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
  • Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Must successfully complete background checks, fingerprinting, and a DMV record check (conducted by the agency).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a DSP is preferred but not required
  • Flexibility to fill in for other staff a plus.
  • Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
